Overview
I led the design and narrative structure for the 2024 digital annual report at Population Services International, a global health organization operating across dozens of countries. The report needed to synthesize complex programmatic, financial, and impact data into a clear, credible story for donors, partners, and internal leadership.
The goal was not only to present results, but to support understanding, trust, and shared alignment around PSI’s global impact.
Strategy & Design
The annual report required close collaboration across communications, technical teams, and subject-matter experts to gather, validate, and interpret information from multiple regions and programs.
I approached the work as an information design and sense-making challenge, focusing on:
- Structuring dense qualitative and quantitative content into a coherent narrative
- Establishing a clear hierarchy that balanced global storytelling with program-level detail
- Using visual systems—layout, typography, data visualization, and pacing—to improve readability and comprehension
- Ensuring consistency with PSI’s brand while allowing flexibility for diverse health areas and geographies
Design decisions prioritized clarity, credibility, and accessibility, recognizing the report as a key tool for accountability and learning—not just communication.
Outcome & Imapact
The final annual report delivered a cohesive, accessible narrative that made PSI’s work easier to understand across audiences with varying levels of technical expertise. Complex data was translated into clear visual stories, helping readers grasp both scale and substance of impact.
This project reflects my approach as a Design Lead / Product Lead: working across teams to synthesize complexity, translate evidence into usable narratives, and design systems that support transparency, learning, and informed decision-making.
